Child poverty rising, says report
The number of children living in poverty in the Netherlands rose slightly in 2006 to 242,240 from 238,391 in the preceding year, according to a report published by the UN’s child rights organisation on Thursday.
Although the number of households living on state benefits dropped, the number of children living in these homes went up, the report said.
