ASMI shareholder attacks board

ASMI shareholder Hermes has called for the sacking of five members of the chip maker’s supervisory board and its chairman Chuck del Prado.

The company is under attack from a number of activist shareholders which want to split off its poorly-performing front end division which manufactures chip-making machinery.
