Arrest for discrimination at anti-racism rally

A man was arrested for discrimination on Saturday during the anti-racism rally in the centre of Amsterdam.

The man had produced a pamphlet of statements by anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders with the words ‘Judaism’ and ‘Jew’ substituted for ‘Islam’ and ‘Muslim’.
The man was given a verbal warning but could still be prosecuted by the public prosecution department, news agency ANP said.
Last Monday entertainment entrepreneur Harry de Winter took out a front page advertisement in the Volkskrant saying if Wilders said the same about Jews as he does about Muslims he would have been sentenced for anti-semitism.
