Swimming coach criticises China’s rights record
Dutch swimming coach Jacco Verhaeren told the NRC Handelsblad on Saturday that the International Olympics Committee should be doing more to raise the issue of human rights in China.

Earlier the orthodox Christian party ChristenUnie, the smallest group in the three-party Dutch coalition, called for no more than a ‘very sober presence’ at the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony.
