SABMiller takeover Grolsch to go ahead
British-South African brewer SABMiller’s takeover of Dutch peer Grolsch is to go ahead. SABMiller now has 94.65% of outstanding shares and has said the bid would be considered a success if it was offered 75%.
SABMiller offered €48.25 per share for Grolsch, valuing the company at €816m.
It has now introduced a late tender period for the remaining shareholders and will de-list Grolsch once it controls 95%.
