Randstad starts 2008 with ‘solid growth’
Temporary staffing agency Randstad said on Thursday that it has started 2008 with ‘solid growth’ and expects operating results to rise to at least €100m in the first quarter of this year.
The company booked an 18% increase in full-year profit for 2007 at almost €399m. Turnover rose 12% to €9.2bn. Randstad said it will pay shareholders a dividend of €1.25 per share.
Randstad is waiting for the official green light to takeover its rival Vedior for €3bn and said it hopes to make a formal offer at the beginning of March.
