PSV steal victory to maintain league lead

PSV maintained their nine-point lead of the premier league after a narrow 1-0 victory away to the lowly-placed Willem II of Tilburg on Saturday.

The Eindhoven club were lacklustre and needed a penalty to decide the match.
Ajax of Amsterdam, in second place, slammed Sparta of Rotterdam 6-2 on Sunday.
Feyenoord of Rotterdam are in third spot after a lucky 1-0 win against Vitesse of Arnhem on Sunday. Feyenoord keeper Henk Timmer made a number of stunning saves towards the end of the game.
Feyenoord have same number of points as Ajax but the Amsterdam has the better goal average. There are nine games to go.
