Minister promises corporate tax-dodge details
Only ‘very few’ Dutch blue-chip multinationals do not pay any corporation tax in the Netherlands, junior finance minister Jan Kees de Jager told MPs on Thursday.
De Jager was responding to reports in the NRC Handelsblad in which civil servants claimed multinationals were making major use of tax dodges.
De Jager promised to come up with details on the tax pressure on AEX-listed companies shortly. ‘But I deny emphatically the picture that is being presented of just five of the 23 AEX companies paying tax,’ De Jager was reported as saying in the NRC.
