‘Hospitals were cleaner in 1900’
Hospitals were cleaner and more hygienic in 1900 than they are now, says the government’s former chief health inspector Herre Kingma.
Simple rules, such as washing your hands, are often ignored and doctors are worse offenders than nurses, Kingma told Avro radio.
