Heavy losses for stockbroker Van der Moolen
Stockbroker Van der Moolen booked a net loss of €80m last year, compared with a loss of almost €79m in 2006. Turnover fell from nearly €150m in 2006 to €144m.
The company announced its earnings in a surprise move after the close of trading on Friday. Van der Moolen has been beset by troubles in the US and has closed down its New York specialist activities.
