Hague city council bails out football club

The Hague city council has voted in favour of a plan to save city football club ADO, relegated to the first division and hit by financial problems.


The council agreed to double the length of a €6.5m loan to the club and lower the interest rate.
Private investor Mark van der Kallen has also agreed to put €8m into the club in return for a major stake.
