Grolsch closes ‘extraordinary’ year

Brewing group Grolsch booked net profit of €20m in 2007, in what it described as an ‘extraordinary year’.

It is the last time Grolsch, now part of SABMiller, will announce separate figures. Turnover was up 5% at €33m.
Also on Tuesday Grolsch launched a new green swing-top bottle to replace the traditional brown bottle worldwide. The new bottle will be in the shops in mid-April.
The switch has been in preparation for 18 months and will cost Grolsch more than €10m. The company will not say how many bottles are being replaced.
