Dutch multinationals pay little tax: NRC
A growing number of Dutch multinationals pay no or very little tax in the Netherlands, the NRC Handelsblad reports on Thursday.
Companies are avoiding payments using routes made possible when new tax laws were introduced a year ago, tax office officials told the paper.
Junior finance minister Kees de Jager told MPs last year that he had closed the loophole.
Corporation tax raised nearly €18bn in 2006, over 16% of total tax receipts, the paper says.
