Dutch did nerve gas experiments

Researchers from the TNO laboratories carried out experiments using chemical weapons in the 1950s, according to news magazine HP/DeTijd.

The experiments, involving live animals, took place on the Wadden Sea island of Vlieland and in Harskamp in the Veluwe region.
Testing later moved to the Algerian desert, the Volkskrant reports the magazine as saying.
The nerve agents involved included sarin, tuban, soman and one known simply as Stof (compound) X. Journalist Mark Traa found the information in defence ministry archives
