Difficult patients should be refused treatment
Patients have responsibilities as well as rights and doctors should be able to stop treating difficult or aggressive patients, according to public health care council RVZ chairman Rien Meijerink in Tuesday’s Trouw.
He says patients should also be expected to play an active part in their recovery and that taxes on alcohol, tobacco and fast food should be used to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
