Burqa ban still divides cabinet
Christian Democrat and some Labour ministers want a wider ban on the face-covering burqa worn by fundamentalist Muslim women than earlier agreed, reports news agency ANP.
Labour home affairs minister Guusje ter Horst wants to bring in a ban on burqas at schools and for civil servants but other ministers want to see it widened to include public transport.
The cabinet will discuss the issue again on Friday.
