Former Ajax trainer and player Danny Blind is to appear in court charged with seriously injuring a woman as a result of driving while drunk.

Blind was involved in an accident close to Amsterdam’s Arena stadium in December 2006. The former trainer had three times the permitted level of alcohol in his blood, the public prosecution department said.
