Baby boom on the Veluwe healthlands

There is an ongoing baby boom among the flocks of sheep on the Veluwe in Overijssel, with 160 lambs born in the past few days, shepherd Teun Heuver told ANP news service on Tuesday.

February is the traditional lambing time, but with the blue tongue outbreak last July fewer lambs had been expected this year. ´There is a remarkable number of twins,’ Heuver told ANP.
