ASMI to hold new talks with industry experts

Chip industry supplier ASM International said on Monday evening that it was to again sit round the table with industry experts about streamlining its front-end processing division.

The company, which is under pressure from activist shareholder Fursa, has already had talks with experts about their suggestions to revamp the unit. The new meeting will be held before the end of February.
ASMI said in a statement it also planned to invite representatives from Fursa to talk after that meeting had taken place. Fursa owns at least 10% of ASMI shares, news agency ANP said.
