Amsterdam theatre gets €4.3m

Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam is to be saved from its financial problems by €4.3m from the city council, reports Thursday’s Parool.


Council executive Carolien Gehrels told the paper she wants to give the theatre €2.1m and write off a further €2.2m in loans to get its finances back in order and stave off bankruptcy.
