Ajax bounce back to undo Feyenoord

Ajax of Amsterdam demolished Rotterdam’s Feyenoord 3-0 on Sunday, maintaining their second spot in the premier league.

Ajax who were beaten on Wednesday by league leaders PSV Eindhoven, bounced back into form on Sunday and could have netted five or six against the Rotterdammers who as result drop from third spot to fourth.
Feyenoord manager Bert van Marwijk said he was furious with his team, who failed to raise their game in such an important clash.
By winning Ajax still have a slim chance of catching PSV, who are eight points clear of the Amsterdammers with 11 games to go.
PSV kept up the pressure by beating AZ of Alkmaar 0-2 away on Saturday. Meanwhile SC Heerenveen moved past Feyenoord to nab third spot after trouncing Vitesse of Arnhem 7-0 also on Saturday.
