Air France-KLM sees Q3 sales up 4%

Air France-KLM booked turnover of almost €4bn in the third-quarter of its 2007-2008 accounting year, up nearly 4% on the year-earlier figure.

Operating profit was up over 23% to €311m, the company reported on Thursday.
Net profit in Q3 fell 39% to €139m as a result of one-off costs, the company said.
The passenger division did particularly well with an operational profit of €248m, up 47% on a year-earlier, despite a strike by Air France in December, the company said.
Air France-KLM carried 17.8 million passengers between October and December, slightly more than in the same three months of 2006.
