Ahold tops female executive league
Four of the 10 top jobs at supermarket group Ahold are done by women, putting the company in first place on the Female Board Index.
Bottom of the list, compiled by Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers of Rotterdam’s Erasmus University, is electronics concern Philips – none of its top 18 staff are women.
Overall women account for 5% of management and supervisory board jobs in the 122 bourse-listed companies. Over half of them are foreign nationals. Only 27% of board-level men do not have Dutch nationality.
