100,000 home gets energy rating
Housing minister Ella Vogelaar is due to hand out the 100,000st home energy efficiency certificate on Wednesday, reports ANP news agency.
The certificates have been compulsory for all homes sold or rented out since January this year. The labels are divided into seven categories from A to G. A indicates the most energy-efficient home.
To date, most premises have been given a D rating (20,000), followed by E (19,000) says SenterNovem which is operating the system for the government.
