Van Aartsen to be The Hague mayor
Former Liberal (VVD) agriculture and foreign affairs minister Jozias van Aartsen (60) has won the support of the The Hague city council to be the city’s next mayor.
He will succeed Wim Deetman who has had the job for 11 years. Van Aartsen still has to be formally appointed by the queen.
