US elections take off in Holland

Over 100,000 Dutch nationals have used internet voting advice sites such as Stemwijzer.nl to pick their favourite candidate in the US primary elections, news agency ANP reports.

A Stemwijzer spokesman said increased media attention for the election has boosted the public’s interest in the vote.
Democratic candidate John Edwards is the leading Dutch candidate, followed by fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton. Only 10% of Dutch ‘voters’ are advised to vote Republican, ANP said.
