TNT takes Germany to court over pay

Postal group TNT is taking the German state to court for imposing new minimum pay rates for delivery workers on all players in the market, reports news agency ANP.

German post delivery workers are now entitled to a minimum of €8 an hour, ANP says. TNT pays its German staff a maximum €7.50.
TNT says it will have to end some of its German activities if it is forced to obey the minimum rate rule.
