Spam accounts for over 90% of email
Spam accounted for a record 91.5% of total email traffic in 2007, according to the internet filter firm Cleanport in Doetinchem.
The top month for spam was December when the percentage soared to 96%, says Cleanport.
The company warns that at this rate, spam will push legitimate email messages into ‘statistic insignificance’.
