Rabobank has pumped millions of euros into a new housing website in a direct challenge to Funda which currently dominates the online housing market, reports Thursday’s AD newspaper.

According to other players in the market, Rabobank will initially operate its new site, Moviq.nl, alongside its existing online housing website Zoekallehuizen.nl which was recently upgraded, the paper says.
Funda is owned by the estate agents’ association NVM. ‘The fact that Rabobank is stepping into the market with Moviq doesn’t mean we will change our strategy,’ Funda’s Jeroen Wilhelm told the AD.
