Rabo beats ABN Amro for social reponsibility

Rabobank has replaced ABN Amro bank in terms of producing the most transparent annual report on social responsibility in 2007, according to a survey of 150 firms carried out for the economic affairs ministry by PriceWaterhouseCooper.

Unilever, ING, are in second and third place while ABN Amro falls to number four.
The results were announced on Thursday by junior economic affairs minister Heemskerk. He said insurers and the IT sector saw their performance against the ministry’s transparency benchmark fall in 2007.
