Prime minister defends new logo

Prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende has defended the €60,000 spent on a new government logo, reports Wednesday’s Telegraaf.

Critics say the design – described as ‘modern but sober’ on the government website –
is already being used by the general affairs ministry, but Balkenende insists this is not the case.
The new logo was designed by the Rotterdam bureau Dunbar which won the contract following a European tender.
