Police in The Hague are refusing to comment on media reports that a man severely injured when his car was blown up by in a suspected bomb near Delft yesterday is the convicted drugs dealer and violent criminal Jerry R.

R survived an earlier attack on his life in 1999.
Police also say there is as yet no connection between yesterday’s blast and the finding of explosives underneath the same type of car, a Peugeot 206, by mechanics last weekend.
