Philips, civil service pay deals sealed

Philips’ 16,000 staff in the Netherlands are to get to get a 7% rise spread over two years, unions and management announced on Thursday.


And in a second major pay deal, civil service unions and local authorities have finally agreed a 6.4% rise over two years. Discussions between the two sides resumed in December after unions said they would accept council plans to reform early-retirement schemes.
