League leaders draw against low opposition

The top two teams of the premier league, PSV and Ajax, both drew their games against lowly-placed opposition this weekend.

League leaders PSV of Eindhoven scrambled a 1-1 draw away to VVV Venlo, after first going behind and playing most of the game against 10 men after a VVV defender was sent off.
In second spot, Ajax fared no better, failing to get past NEC of Breda. The game ended 1-1 despite the fact that Ajax threw five players into the attack. Ajax trail PSV by three points.
In third place, Feyenoord performed even worse than the top two, losing 2-1 away to their Rotterdam rivals Excelsior. Feyenoord are now four points off the lead.
