Indian arrest warrant dropped

The arrest warrant for eight Dutch nationals accused of libelling an Indian textile company has been dropped after intervention by former prime minister Ruud Lubbers.


The campaigners have agreed to halt their protests against conditions at company Fibers & Fabrics in return for Bangalore appointing an ombudsman to investigate complaints against the firm.
