Dutch-Belgian financial services group Fortis is moving its Dutch banking headquarters from Utrecht to Amsterdam.
Its most important activities will be housed in ABN Amro’s buildings in the Zuidas business park and in the Zuid-Oost district.
Fortis said the timing depends on how quickly ABN Amro’s activities can be integrated into its own, following last year’s takeover.
Utrecht will continue to be the insurance operation’s main office. The Brussels HQ will also remain.
