No decision on Alitalia until mid-January
The Italian government is to delay its verdict on Air France-KLM’s bid to take over Alitalia until mid-January.
The Dutch-French combine is competing for the ailing Italian airline against a consortium including Italy’s Air One.
The Italian government owns almost 50% of Alitalia and was expected to make a decision this week.
Air France-KLM has made a non-binding offer for the struggling Italian airline in the form of a share swap. No further details have been released.
