A majority of MPs have called on junior social affairs minister Ahmed Aboutaleb to make sure pensioners who are not entitled to the full state pension (AOW) get extra financial help.

Some 27,000 pensioners do not get full pensions because they have not lived in the Netherlands between the ages of 15 and 65.
The problem is expected to become far worse when first-generation migrants reach retirement age.
