Hague football club asks for court protection

The Hague football club Ado has asked the courts for a temporary period of protection from creditors because of its financial problems, reports Tuesday’s AD.

The newspaper quotes unnamed sources close to the club and local politicians. The AD says the club has been in almost daily meetings with the city council over the last week to find a solution for the financial crisis.
But the council has so far kept to an earlier stance that it would not give the club any extra money, says the AD.
