Football clubs reach deal on tv rights
The 18 Dutch premier division football clubs have finally reached agreement on the collective sale of broadcasting rights and how to divide up the income, the Telegraaf reports on Friday.
Alkmaar’s AZ and Amsterdam club Ajax said earlier they wanted to sell their own rights to next season’s matches.
The three-year deal covering the 2004/05 to 2007/08 seasons has generated some €70m a year for the clubs.
