Analysts predict a 23% profit growth for the electronics sector in 2008, making it the biggest growing industry in the coming year, reports Monday’s Financieele Dagblad.

The forecast is based on an analysis of 300 leading bourse-listed firms worldwide which are part of the so-called FD 300 International Sector Overview.
The average profit growth for all the companies is expected to be 14%.
The telecommunications and car sectors are in second and third place with expected profit growth of 21% and 20% respectively.
