Dutch student not charged in Holloway case

The Aruban public prosecution department on Monday told Dutch student Joran van der Sloot that it was closing its case on the disappearance of US student Natalee Holloway because of lack of evidence.

Van der Sloot, the last person known to have seen Natalee, was extradited from Arnhem to Aruba in November as part of a last ditch attempt by the Aruban authorities to solve the case.
Meanwhile, the girl’s father has brought in private investigators to continue investigate the disappearance.
