‘Desperate’ girl on remand for death of baby
A 15-year old girl is being held in an isolation cell at a juvenile detention centre on suspicion of manslaughter after giving birth secretly at home in Almere.
The baby died either during the birth or shortly afterwards. The girl’s lawyer says he went public with the case because of the ‘desperate conditions’ she is being held in.
