Charity donations exceed €1bn
The Dutch donated over €1bn to charity for the first time last year, says sector organisation CBF.
Almost €1.1bn was raised in 2006, up 7% from the preceding year, CBF said on Thursday.
Among the most successful in raising funds were the cancer charity KWF Kankerbestrijding, developing countries foster parents organisation Plan Nederland and the UN children’s charity Unicef.
