Amsterdam is new ‘murder capital’

Rotterdam handed its crown as murder capital of the Netherlands to Amsterdam in 2006, reports Thursday’s AD.

So far this year there have been 23 murders in the port city, all but one of which have been solved, the paper says.
In Amsterdam, there have been 27 murders this year, of which 19 have been solved. In The Hague there have been 13 murders, of which half remain unsolved.
