Van der Heijden wins AKO book prize

Author A. F. Th. van der Heijden has won this year’s AKO literature price for his novel Het Schervengericht (ostracism) which the writer describes as a ‘protest against the murder of Theo van Gogh’.


Van der Heijden, who also won the award in 1997, takes home €50,000.
