Stalemate over redundancy continues

Three hours of top level talks at the prime minister’s residence on Wednesday again failed to break the impasse over plans to reform redundancy law.


‘We are in talks’ is all social affairs minister Piet Hein Donner would say after the meeting, newspapers report.
Labour and ChristenUnie ministers and MPs are opposed to Christian Democrat Donner’s reform plans, saying they would weaken protection for workers.
