SABMiller bids for Grolsch
Shares in Dutch beer brewer Grolsch shot up on the Amsterdam stock exchange on Monday following the announcement of a €816m takeover bid by British-South African brewers SABMiller.
The shares rose by 77% to €47.53. The preliminary cash offer from SABMiller is worth €48.25 per share.
The offer, which is fully financed, is supported by the board of management and the supervisory board of Grolsch, says ANP news agency.
