IPOs less popular with high-tech firms

Enthusiasm for a stock exchange listing among fast-growing Dutch technology firms is waning, according to research by consultancy Deloitte.

‘Companies can finance their own growth out of their profits and therefore have less need for a public listing,’ Deloitte said.
This year, 30% of tech companies said they were considering a listing. In 2005 the figure was 40%.
