Garmin takes 5% share in Tele Atlas

TomTom’s biggest competitor, the American navigational systems maker Garmin, has taken a 5% share in Dutch-Belgian digital map-maker Tele Atlas which both companies are fighting to take over.


Garmin announced yesterday that it has made a rival bid of €24.50 for Tele Atlas, exceeding TomTom’s offer of €21.25.
